Meet Larissa Parker

Larissa is the newest addition to the LaBenz Law PLLC team. While obtaining her Bachelors in Zoology and Chemistry, and Master’s degree in Biology, at Northern Arizona University, she established a successful career in sales and management in the hospitality industry in Flagstaff, Arizona. This not only allowed Larissa to excel in creating loyal relationships with the public, but gave her a unique perspective into the multitude of human relations and the complicated legal issues that can arise.

Larissa was inspired to pursue a law degree as a result of her desire to help people solve problems. Her unique education and work experience in a variety of challenging environments taught her to simplify complex issues and work together with people to create practical and creative solutions. These qualities serve her well in assisting clients navigate the complicated process of being faced with a potential lawsuit or negotiating a resolution.

Larissa graduated second in her law school class from Western State University College of Law in 2015. During law school, she served as a legal research assistant to the Honorable William Bedsworth of the California Court of Appeal, 4th District, Division 3 in 2014. She also worked for Western State University as a research assistant to Professor Lori Roberts, researching the implications of First Amendment protections in consumer contracts; and was a law clerk at the Traut Firm, a leading California personal injury and criminal defense law firm.

While at Western State University College of Law, Larissa received a First Year Summer Honors Fellowship, Merit Scholarship, seven Witkin Awards, placed first in the National Whittier Juvenile Law Moot Court Competition, and was on the Dean’s Circle consistently for her scholastic achievements. While a student writer and technical editor for the Western State Law Review, Larissa’s Article titled, “Reconciling Discrepancies between Emotional Value of Companion Animals and the Insufficient Legal Remedies for Their Loss, was published, and exemplifies her compassion for animals and owners alike.

Larissa is currently a licensed attorney in both Arizona and California, a current member of the American Bar and Orange County Bar Associations, alumni member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International, and a proud member of the United States Humane Society. She has recently joined the local Professional Women’s Group, Sedona Rotary Club, and Verde Valley Bar Association.

Larissa has a passion for animals, gardening, and the outdoors. She wants to help people and enjoys helping those that cannot help themselves. She loves living in smaller towns and is thrilled to join the Sedona community and serve the legal needs throughout northern AZ as a lawyer for LaBenz Law PLLC.
